After calling my landlord about my !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I've been patiently waiting for some progress. Well, the progress has started to come. The city is ticketing the hell out of his boats.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
The other night I was coming home from work and noticed a pink slip of paper dangling from one of his boats parked inconsiderately on the street in front of our row of townhouses. I took a peek at it and sure enough, it was an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
Both of the boats now have multiple tickets on them. Which means, hopefully he'll either move them soon, or the city will tow them. I'm trying to decide whether I want to try and score some neighborlyness points with him and point the tickets out to him in case he hasn't seen them, or just passive-aggressively let the tickets accumulate until the city tows his boats.
I haven't seen the notice the landlord was supposedly going to post on his trailer yet—dunno if they stuck it on there and he took it off already or what. But if the boats get the hell off the street at least, then the too-crowded parking lot is less of an issue because at least the street would be clear.

Let 'em pile up. It's his problem, not yours.
(Spent too long with asshole neighbors in apartments)

We used to have a neighbor who'd park on the opposite curb right in front of our driveway, which made backing out tight. And what was even more annoying is that that parking spot is in between the two houses directly across from us, so he wasn't even parking directly in front of his own house/property. He was just being a jerk. Annoying neighbors are annoying. Glad to hear your problem will soon be over, hopefully. ^_^

I can't believe you've had to deal with this for this long.
I worked "multi-family" complex management back in Chicago and none of that would fly.
Hell, one of my own cars was almost hooked because the towing company thought it "looked derelict".

You could always "show interest in buying" one of the boats and when he takes you to see them you could see the look on his face when he finds the tickets.....

I'd let them pile up. Screw that guy!

"Hey (name of neighbor).. I buddy of mine got a ticket parking out on the street the other night, and I noticed that they ticketed your boats, too. Any idea why they started doing that?"
